For my project I combined the Surf and Swim Collection from Trinity Arts with several Clearsnap products to create a two-page layout of last season' s T-Ball photos.

I loved how the more theme neutral B-sides of these papers allowed me to choose my own occasion, even though they are perfect for beach photos. For the background, I used a mask to spray Smooch Spritz in Navy Twinkle.

Also used several of the Design Adhesives (Sentiments, Banner Wishes, BBQ) with Designer Foils (Cherry, Seaport) to highlight the visual triangle.

See the cute little banner Design Adhesives? Love those and don't think I will ever get over banners - they make the perfect embellishment!

Also did a little stamping on the photo. Chalk inks are perfect for stamping on glossy surfaces. I also used them to hightlight the edges of all the papers for a bit of extra dimension. The Primary Petal Point has all the colors you need to coordinate with this paper pack.

Easter Moments

Easter was wonderful this year and of course it all went by so fast that I was barely able to document it. The egg hunt was on and over before I even realized there was a camera around my neck and brunch was cooked, eaten, cleaned up and most everyone had left before I remembered to pull it out and capture the moment. The only pic I did take was one with the phone camera of my Easter sweetie and her basket of goodies. Oops.

I find it so hard to both document and live in the moment and wonder how so many others can do it so well. Share your secrets please!?

Last year I remembered to take lots of pics and created this 2 pager with several photos from different Easter events. My fav part is the little word banner at the bottom of the page.

Today I am sharing with you a layout that is a little more fall themed but still has all the essential Halloween colors going on plus the rich jewel tones of autumn :)

Gosh these templates are amazing! I am really inspired by the artistic flair Julie Fei-Fan Blazer adds to all of her projects and somehow using her templates just drew out the inner graffiti artist within me. To create this background, I layered each of the different templates and sprayed with a heavy dose of Smooch Spritz. That is 10 layers total of spray and my paper is as flat as when I began - love this stuff!

On the top layer of rain drops, I outlined a few random raindrops with red Smooch and then added the Herringbone template by painting with Pigment Ink and a foam pad loaded onto my stylus. Edith was the final layer on top.

For the title, I drew upon a quote from the movie Vanity Fair. Remember the scene where the father of Jonathon Rhys Meyers tells him he can have anything he wants if only he will reach for it? I think he was talking about material things but here its expanded a bit to inspire dreams and goals.

The photo is from a recent trip to the Pumpkin Patch - they have fields of beautiful mums that are just begging to be photographed. My little one loved every minute.

For the leaves, I traced around some real ones we collected from the backyard and inked them up for a pretty and natural embellishment.

Monster Mash!

Oh my gosh. I go absolutely nuts for Monster Truck shows. Those great big trucks, all that raw power and dangerous stunts. Something just comes over me and I start hooting and hollering like a lunatic. Maybe it's some kind of testosterone surge in the crowd that sweeps me away; I'm not really sure?

But I'm not the only one. This little fella got caught up in it too. He attended his first show this summer in Burlington and has been all about monster trucks ever since. His toy trucks are doing tricks off the picnic table, flipping over end to end and of course crushing smaller, less superior toy cars. Love it!

Believe it or not, there was actually a 7 year old kid driving his own mini monster truck at the show (photo to the right). He jumped over some little hills and revved his engine up. It was adorable. The bigger trucks jumped buses, crushed cars and several landed upside down, requiring a tractor with even more horsepower to lift them back on their tires. Yee haw!!

The track was pretty dusty and we weren't allowed to stand by the fence during the show so the pictures didn't turn out great, but that is more than okay.

I used these chipboard suns as gears after seeing Lisa T do it in her April Studio Calico gallery. Of course my husband informed me that these gears wouldn't actually fit together in real life. Pfff. Only a boy would even notice that.

And of course my favorite part, the little banners used as flags. As soon as I saw those I knew they would be used for this purpose on this page.

So am I the only one who loves monster trucks this much?
