It's In The Bag // PI Blog Hop

Welcome to the Paper Issues blog hop, "It's In The Bag," sponsored by Whisker Graphics - home to Bitty Bags and Divine Twine! They are giving away 2 spools of twine and a pack of 20 bitty bags - find the details on how to win below.

This is your first stop, so no need to do any backtracking if you happened upon this post by sheer luck :) But do be sure to check out the rest of the hop for some beautiful inspiration from our talented group of gals! Here's the whole list.

I put together this sweet little valentine's mini album using some glassine baggies from Whisker Graphics, the You & Me collection from Elle's Studio, Design Adhesives and Foil from Clearsnap ribbon from 3GirlJam and some badges from A Flair for Buttons. And I just love how it turned out!

Let's take a peek inside, shall we?

The glassine lends a certain romantic feel to it I think. There's lot of tags for journaling and a piece of kraft paper inside with space for a wallet sized photo.

And that's all from me! The next stop is Patricia.

To be entered to win please visit the Whisker Graphics blog and leave a comment on their blog letting them know your favorite color of divine twine or what kind of itty bitty bag you like best! Like Whisker Graphics Facebook page, also don’t forget to tell them we sent you.

Christmas Mini Album

One last project to wrap up the week and also the current challenge at Pink by Design. Today the team is sharing projects that are anything but a card. I knew there wouldn't be enough time to make a December Daily album this year (and honestly my one from last year isn't even completely finished) but we still need some kind of album to commemorate this Christmas. It will probably just be shots and journaling from Christmas morning and that's okay. This month is flying by way to fast and our tree isn't even up yet!

The outside sleeve is a mix of patterned papers from Echo Park and stamped and/or inked die-cut triangles. They are all glued onto a backing paper. I am so in love with this random combo of colors! They came from a page in 'Olive the Other Reindeer." Children's books are such a great source of color inspiration.

I used What's Your Number to stamp the 25 and on the background - Houndstooth Background and Fresh Goodies.  Some of the pennants are just inked and blended with Colorbox Pigment Ink and then spritzed with spray ink.

The inside pages are all ready for pictures and text. I glued more patterned paper down to an accordion folded album.

Linking up to these challenges:
Moxie Fab World - Keen On Neon
Two Peas In A Bucket - Echo Park Project Challenge

And that's all for me today. You have until tomorrow to link up for a chance to win a $10 GC to the Pink by Design store. Good luck and have a fantastic weekend!

Tag Advent Calendar

Hey there! How was your Thanksgiving? Ours was delish - we made the turkey this year and celebrated at my husband's grandparents. We ended up slow roasting it over night (at 1:30am no less) and it turned out amazing! Falling off the bone and not the least bit dry. Will certainly be doing that from now on.

In the midst of all of the dinner prep last week, I snuck in some time to put together an advent calendar for the Clearsnap blog + 3 video tutorials on assembling the whole thing. So fun and really got me in the mood for Christmas time!

Check out the entire post here.

Some other scrappy stuff that's going on...

The new holiday theme is up at Paper Issues, so generously sponsored by Reminisce. Link up, comment to win and take the hop for a little holiday inspiration. The Cyber Monday sale is on through tonight in the Paper Shop - use my code STAMP for 30% off everything in the store!!

Pink by Design is also having a fabulous sale - 60% off retiring sets and 35% off everything else! What a steal! Pick up some new stamp sets while they last!

And finally, every day up til Christmas, A Blog Named Hero is having a special Christmastravaganza with special guests and prize and lots of great ideas. I'll have a project up on the 30th!!

Have a lovely evening <3

Fall Always Love You

Happy Monday! My little babe is now at the 3 week old mark and I'm finally feeling like things will be back on a schedule soon. Not quite yet but I am starting to see it on the horizon :)

This is a layout I created for the last theme over at Paper Issues - Fall'n For Flair, sponsored by A Flair For Buttons.  Sadly the page was finished waiting for photos and I only got to finish it this weekend. Better late than never!

The photos are some I took via Instagram on school picture day and the product is mostly valentine's day stuff inked and altered to give it a more weathered, autumn-y look.

There are a few goodies snuck in too from my Last Summer Romance kit in the PI shop - only 2 left in stock!

Our little sweeties. However did we get so lucky to have such good looking kids? I bet every mom says that :)

Have a great day!

Fall'n for Flair Blog Hop

Well hello there! Today is the new theme day at Paper Issues and a few of us are hopping to share our fall projects with sweet flair so generously sponsored by A Flair For Buttons. Shelly has a shop stocked full of the cutest flair buttons and bonus! - she's an Iowa girl too!!

Check out the shop and use the code ILOVEPAPERISSUES for 10% off your order!

I created this birthday card for a little boy with a lego/storm trooper guy from the Sci Fi Characters 2 set. We have a certain young man in the house who will soon turn 6 and is planning to be a police officer - this character could double as a cop, right?

And another card - this one is a elegant, girly take on Halloween using a witch image from Vintage Halloween 2. A butterfly die cut can double as a bat I think.

Check out the rest of fantastic projects from the DT below.

Kate - go here next!

Be sure to stop by the Paper Issues blog to link up your projects and find out the details for winning the blog hop prize. Visit the Paper Shop to pick up some new goodies as well!
