Spring Soiree - a Lucky Girl blog hop

Happy Sunday everyone! The weather has been beautiful here and it is finally starting to feel like spring! Seems like a great day to celebrate the latest and greatest kit from Lucky Girl Crafts - Spring Soiree - with a blog hop!! You may have arrived here from Stacy's blog, but if not, just head back to the LGC store blog and be sure to leave some love along the way!

In addition to the grand prize awarded on the store blog - $25 in Lucky Bucks - one lucky hopper will win a $10 Lucky Buck prize - and we don't know whose blog will have it!

After a long and dreary winter, celebrate spring in style with bold prints and bright colors! Products from your favorite manufacturers are gathered to bring a funky and ecclectic take on the season, perfect for showcasing your precious Easter memories, Mother's Day treats, graduation gifts and many other milestones!

(Click here to see more close-ups of the kit contents, and to order your own of course!!)

I really loved working with the vibrant, modern pieces in this kit from Pink Paislee and American Crafts mixed with the antique-distressed elements from Glitz. And with all the glittery goodness, it's like half the work has been done for you! Lots of glitter makes everything better!!

Here's a look at the projects I created with May's kit:

First up (and my personal fave) is a page about my little niece and her sweet chubby cheeks. There is just something about neon against black that looks so right!

A spritz of mist and a little handstitching complement the papers so well!

Ooh and that yellow PP paper - will definitely be hoarding that one!

Next up is a page about my little sis and her adorable little baby bump. As is worked out, the glittery AC cardstock was the same color as her shirt and made a lovely background.

I used the chipboard frames to house the journaling and some other info about her shower. It's great that using a word processor in 100% view, you can just hold the frame up to the computer screen and position your text so it fits perfectly in the small space!

Another vibrant page that makes me smile with pics from my dad's 55th birthday. We were lucky enough to be in town to celebrate and of course Rora got to help blow out the candles.

Love, love, love the celebration banner - those flowers so remind me of Liberty of London!!

Have been wanting to use a bunch of random letters on a page forever and somehow it just worked out here.

Plus one tiny birthday banner :)

And since Mother's Day is sneaking up around the corner, I put together 2 cards - one for my Mom and one for my MIL. Love the texture the tulle adds in ruffle and flower form.

So do you just have to have it? Good news - May 1-7, Lucky Girl is running a special:
