hello again, new layouts

There were posts planned for all this week, but we had been having some electrical issues and I was not able to connect to the Internet or make popcorn (our nightly ritual). Thankfully a nice friend came over to fix it for us tonight and we are back in business baby!

Here is a new layout based on last Sunday's Studio Calico sketch using some photos that were taken of the twins right after we first met them. Everything comes together so easily when you use a grid. Love all these soft, pastel colors together and how it symbolizes that they are still babies but just on the verge of becoming big kids. The background card stock reminds me of a handkerchief. (I would guess that's a German word?)

Title: 2 YEARS Journaling reads: "Maleah and Keegan at two years old. These photos were taken the week after we first met them at the Burger King in I-town."

Supplies
Paper: Sassafras Lass, October Afternoon, Paper Studio
     Stickers: Cosmo Cricket, October Afternoon
     Other: Jewel, Button, Fabric, Thread

Here is another grid layout that came together nice and tidy. In fact I finished both of these layouts in less than two days. I truly spend more time digging through my supplies than actually cutting and pasting. Love that open box in the background, its so much less imposing than a solid sheet of paper back there. The fabric and dress form really have nothing to do with the layout - a summary of March - but gosh, they really look pretty.

Supplies
     Paper: Basic Grey Sultry, DCVW
Stamp: The Girl's Paperie, Studio Calico, Inkadinkado
     Ink: Colorbox
     Mist: Smooch
     Stickers: Bo Bunny, Paper Studio
     Other: fabric, lace, button, thread

I'll be back tomorrow with a little sewing project I've been working on.

Goodnight!
