Pink by Design New Release Hop!

Hi and welcome to Pink by Design's new release blog hop! If you didn't come here from Paula's blog then you'll want to check out the list below to make sure you hit every stop!

Meriah – www twoscraptasticgals blogspot com
Sabrina - www.sabrinaalery.blogspot.com - YOU ARE HERE

I am sharing this card created with the Lucky Half Pint set. There are so many great sentiments on this mini and it has many more uses than just Saint Patty's Day (although there is one for it too!) For this card, I chose the sentiment and let it inspire the rest of the card.

I started with a die cut heart and layered nested circles underneath for a bit different take on a rainbow. The airplane paper seemed to go well with the grid paper so I added that and then the arrows last. Maybe it's a bit of a hot mess and too literal but I really kinda like it :)

Here's a couple more from the sneak week on the Pink by Design Blog:

A cute boy card using the Dino-Mite set designed by Lisa Norris.

And a pretty girly card using the large sized sentiment from Say It Boldly.

Can't wait to pick up the rest of the releases!! Here's what else you need to know about the hop and release today:

* New releases are in the shop today - check them all out right here

* U-Stream tonight hosted by Sarah with a round-up of all the projects and new releases. She will be doing an Easter craft and you know she'll have lots of giveaways too so don't miss it!

* Giveaways to the hop! But I won't say where. Check them all!

And now it's on to Gloria's Goofy Craft Spot! Hope to *see* you tonight and if not, have a wonderful weekend!

Peace

Good morning and happy Monday! I have the feeling this is going to be a great week! Things are starting to get back to normal around here, baby has settled into a semi-predictable routine and thanks to my new Moby wrap, I have my hands back. Seriously, how did women with more than one child get anything done before these were invented?! I love wearing my baby and being productive!!

Eli is 7 weeks old now and growing like a weed. He's already 13 pounds, loves to smile and have "coo"-versations whenever he catches someones eye. He loves taking a warm bath. And bless his little gooey heart - he is such a good baby. So content most all the time.

The big kids are so in love with him too. Little Rora is having a hard time though. She loves her baby bro but is struggling with the mommy time she is missing out on. It's getting easier every day but she has been soo mad at me - argumentiative, even more stubborn and acting out. I suppose that's normal but it just breaks my heart to see her sad and somewhat lost.

So we have been doing lots of crafts together after she gets out of preschool. Cause it makes us both happy to make pretty things.

This is a card I created for the NEW and IMPROVED challenge over at the Pink by Design blog. Each week we have a new theme with 3 days of inspiration projects created by the mini teams and this week the theme is Your Favorite Patterns.

I love a lot of patterns - polka dots, chevron, floral, stripes - but decided to go with sweet and classic gingham this time. PBD has a Gingham Background stamp which is actually being retired. :(

It's inspired by a Two Peas sketch and uses the Alphabet stickers challenge from Moxie Fab world, plus it uses one of my favorite Pink by Design stamp sets - My Type.

So do you feel like playing along with your favorite pattern this week? You have until 11/19 to link up for the chance to win a $10 gift certificate to the PBD store! Hooray!! You can use PBD stamps or any that you have.

Add to the linky below or on the PBD blog.

Enjoy your day!

...And She's All Mine

My sweet and lovely 4 year old. I could just smoosh her tiny face in these photos. Such a little doll and at other times a temper-throwing terror. Gaining so much independence but still prefers to hold her mama's hand. I can hardly believe she'll be going off to preschool in just a few short months.

For this layout with pics from her birthday, I had the idea swirling around in my head for months to use numbers and facts instead of regular journaling and finally was able to put it down on paper at a crop last month. (It was the only project I finished in 13 hours!)

My memory is truly terrible and I'll never remember these small facts about her in the future. Even though they are not really significant facts, it's still a fun glimpse at this moment.

I just love arranging all the little bits and embellishments "just so" and this was the first time I'd actually fully used up a kit from a year's subscription to Studio Calico. Seriously all but scraps of the paper, a few embellies and leftover alphas. Wow.

Anyway, have a wonderful Wednesday!
