Do you remember reading about the challenge I won sponsored by Lucky Girl Crafts? No? Well you can find the card right here. Anyway, I received the gorgeous prize package in the mail a couple weeks back (it's the June kit - no longer available) and finally sat down with it this week for a little playtime.
I have a confession to make. Before this week, I've never really made a mini book but I feel an obsession taking hold! Tons of little book ideas have been scribbled into my idea book which you will hopefully get to see in the coming year!
But back to the kit, the color scheme and the chipboard title brought me to the idea of making a mini about our wedding. Since it was just at the courthouse, there were not many photos and although I made a layout about it, it was an important enough day to receive some more special attention.
Why is the After attached to the Happily and before the Ever you ask? I'm not sure but unfortunately didn't even notice until it was glued down! You get the gist though.
The over-sized butterfly is probably my favorite part - it's misted with SC Atmosphere and sprinkled with glitter (another recent obsession).
But this lucky card is a close second. The doily behind the photo is the only thing that did not come from the kit.
Rub-on alphas are not as bad as I'd imagined - and these JBS ones go on as smooth as butter!
This last page didn't come together as nicely as the rest - but all in all I LOVE this new book and I love the products that Jessica put together for the kit. It's so fun to step away from your typical color schemes and fall for something completely different. You should really go check her and the December kit out!
Also have you seen this?
XOXO is having a design team call!! You have until December 15th to apply - hope to see you there!!
