Western Princess Dress

Sometimes the packaging makes all the different, don't you think?

So I sold my very first handmade item this past week. A friend of my brother-in-law's girlfriend emailed to see if I would make a dress for her daughter's first birthday party. I really loved the whole process of helping her choose a fabric, working together on the design and making it fit into her Cowgirl Princess birthday theme.

She choose the Red Rooster Giselle fabric and I used brown satin for the lining, midriff and collar. Also added a little lace trim and a bow with a pink rose to make the dress a little more country.

Put together two little bow clippies to match the dress. She said she really loved it, but I'm always nervous if someone really means it, you know what I mean? Anyway, super fun, I hope to do it again soon!
