Santa Stationary // Clearsnap + Stamps of Life Blog Hop

The Stamps of Life and Clearsnap are having a blog hop featuring The Stamps of Life stamps and Clearsnap inks and other fun products. Be sure you comment on all the stops along the hop because prizes will be randomly chosen among the comments!
The Stamps of Life will be giving away a prize to 3 lucky people – one stamp set (of the winner’s choice) per winner.
Clearsnap will be giving away an assortment of Stephanie Barnard Colorbox Premium Dye inks. Enter to win using the widget on the Clearsnap blog and by leaving a comment on each blog in the hop:
Diana Gonzalez - http://www.arteypoemas.com/
Tami Sanders - http://tamisanders.com/
Jennifer Priest - http://hydrangeahippo.com

I used the borders4me stamp set and the postmarks2stamp along with my favorite inks - Stephanie's Premium Dye Ink colors and the new Sprays! spray ink to put together a stationary set for writing letters to Santa Claus.

The envelope comes pre-addressed to the North Pole and the papers contain the same postmark border. We of course need multiple pages because there is always someone who wants to add to their list or let Santa know about a misbehaving sibling :)

This faux wax seal is so easy to create and really adds an official touch. Emboss several layers of Scentz Embossing Powder in Peppermint and on the final heat set, press your stamp into the hot powder. Just be sure to ink up your stamp with watermark ink or a color to keep the stamp from sticking.

And to round out the set, I included a Santa head that can be used as an ornament or just a paper decoration. It is paper pieced and painted with the Premium Dye Inks as watercolors. His hat is colored with Sprays ink and accented with Sprinkles Chunky Glitter.

So much fun to create! I can't wait to fill this out with the kid's wishes!

Next on the hop is Judy Rozema. Be sure to leave comments on each stop for the most potential to win!

Christmas Mini Album

One last project to wrap up the week and also the current challenge at Pink by Design. Today the team is sharing projects that are anything but a card. I knew there wouldn't be enough time to make a December Daily album this year (and honestly my one from last year isn't even completely finished) but we still need some kind of album to commemorate this Christmas. It will probably just be shots and journaling from Christmas morning and that's okay. This month is flying by way to fast and our tree isn't even up yet!

The outside sleeve is a mix of patterned papers from Echo Park and stamped and/or inked die-cut triangles. They are all glued onto a backing paper. I am so in love with this random combo of colors! They came from a page in 'Olive the Other Reindeer." Children's books are such a great source of color inspiration.

I used What's Your Number to stamp the 25 and on the background - Houndstooth Background and Fresh Goodies.  Some of the pennants are just inked and blended with Colorbox Pigment Ink and then spritzed with spray ink.

The inside pages are all ready for pictures and text. I glued more patterned paper down to an accordion folded album.

Linking up to these challenges:
Moxie Fab World - Keen On Neon
Two Peas In A Bucket - Echo Park Project Challenge

And that's all for me today. You have until tomorrow to link up for a chance to win a $10 GC to the Pink by Design store. Good luck and have a fantastic weekend!

Holiday Santa + Winners!

Hello Wednesday and happy 12.12.12! This day has extra special significance since it's also my daughter's 5th birthday today! Today I am sharing a card creating for the Pink by Design blog and if you stopped by Monday, you already know we are creating this week with non-traditional Christmas colors. The colors used here were inspired by these free printable gift tags found on Pinterest - so pretty!

In addition to the colors, today's card features an image colored with colored pencils. Certainly not my best skill, but Santa looks jolly smoking his pipe and tucked in behind the window.

I also have a couple winners to announce!

From the Pink by Design blog hop last week, the winner of the Fresh Goodies stamp set is:

Chris said...
Great project!
And from the World Card Making day hop (sorry so late on this one), the winner is:

Cindy Groh said...
Fabulous card. Love the sentiment. Thanks for the chance to win.

Holiday Cheer + 2 Month Photos

Hi there! There is a new challenge up this week on the Pink by Design blog and we are creating Christmas projects with non-traditional holiday colors. While I must say the classic red, green and white colors will always be a staple in our Christmas decor, it was fun to put something together with a bright and cheerful color palette.

This card is inspired by the ornament wreaths that are becoming so popular - will get around to making one for real some day, but for now this will do. The circles are from the Nature Walk set and the sentiment and frame come from Fresh Goodies - both stamp of the month sets. The color palette comes from the Colorbox Cat's Eye Pigment Queue - Fiesta!

Add your projects to the linky below or visit the original blog post for more inspiration and a chance to win a $10 gift certificate to the Pink by Design store.

I am also linking up this project to the following challenges:
Moxie Fab World - Keen on Neon
3 Girl Jam - Christmas Inspirations
Simon Says Stamp - Snowflakes
CAS-ual Fridays - Knotty or Nice

And now for some photos of my sweet babe! What a gooey little goober :) Can hardly believe he is 2 months here! It really does fly by.

Have a fantastic week!

You Are My Anchor - Pink by Design Release Blog Hop

Hi and welcome to the Pink by Design release blog hop! Have you been anxiously awaiting some new pink stamps? I certainly have! We are doing a little hop today to share a sneak of the new sets.

I worked with the new Ahoy half pint set, complete with anchors and weighty sentiments. Doilies, chevron and sailors go together, right?

It is so much fun! I just love all the new mini stamps.

Sarah will be doing a UStream tonight at 8pm CST and you know she'll bring the fun and probably some great giveaways too!

As it turns out, I ended up with a duplicate of Fresh Goodies (the September stamp of the month) and will be giving it away to one lucky hopper! Just leave a comment on the post below and please become a follower of this blog if you are not already.

And that's all for me - hop on over to see the lovely card Annette has put together.

Hello December

The most magical time of the year is here!

Our December has been pretty eventful so far - a sick child throwing up in my bed at 4am (I am now sick too), a little decorating and crafting, Chippy the Elf made his long awaited return, oh and the hubby and his friends blowing up 2 cars in the back acreage.

The 2nd issue of PaperHaus Magazine was released on Saturday. Have you had a chance to look it over yet - because it's full of beautiful projects and inspiration!!

My lovely friend Mary Dawn of A Blog Named Hero is hosting a month long Christmas-travaganza celebrating all things Christmas and Hero Arts. They have invited a bevy of guests to share projects and I am so honored to say I am one of them!!

You can check out the details of this stamped Christmas pillow using HA on this post: http://ablognamedhero.blogspot.com/2012/11/christmas-travaganza-day-8-stamped.html

Clearsnap is rolling out their new product releases for the fall. Check out 4 new shades of Smooch Glitz (featured on the card above), and my fav - Crafter's Inks for stamping on material other than paper. Check them all out on the blog: http://clearsnap.blogspot.com/

The newest Paper Issues theme is up - 50 Shades of Basic Grey - and is being generously sponsored by, you guessed it, Basic Grey! Check out the full post here, link up your BG projects and comment to win!

And that's all for today folks! Have a great week!
