Pink by Design Release Hop

Hi and welcome to the Pink by Design stamp release blog hop!! There are so many adorable new stamps being released this evening during the Ustream and know Sarah is going to have some amazing prizes to give away too!! Also, be sure to tune in to find out who won the Silhouette Cameo!

So onto the new stamps! I had the chance to work with the Tooth Fairy set which contains several adorable sayings and coordinating images too!

And with it, I created a little pillow to contain lost teeth while they wait for the tooth fairy to arrive. It hangs on the end of the bed and I bet it makes it much easier for her to trade out teeth for treats without waking little ones ;)

This was an idea found on Pinterest, which contains tons and tons of cute ideas for depositing lost teeth - all of which would work great with this stamp set.

The backside has a little pocket with felt tooth applique.

I stamped directly onto both the fabric and the felt with Crafter's Ink. You can also stamp on fabric with Chalk Ink. Heat set either with a heat gun or hot iron to set the color into the fabric and make it permanent and washable!

And that's all from me today! Please leave a comment and become a follower of this blog for the chance to win some blog candy as well! It will have to be a surprise since I haven't taken a pic of anything just yet! :) :)

Next stop on the hop is Elizabeth!

PTI June Blog Hop

Hello and happy Monday! Hoping your weekend was great. This is my very first time participating in a PTI blog hop but this inspiration photo and colors were just so too good to pass up :) I must say that this card ended up in a very different place than the design originally in mind but I made my mistakes work and am still happy with the card that resulted.

Most of the papers and embellishments on here are scraps from off my desk and I just could not get the box pleats to work at all so went with a scalloped border instead. Will be on the lookout for any tips on pleating paper! Also pulled the gray from the photo and added just a touch of orange since those little butterflies where already stamped and looked so cute added in!

And here is the original inspo piece. View all the entries in the hop here.

In other news, we visited the Science Center for the first time this weekend - really fun even though the kids are just a little too young to fully enjoy and understand everything they were discussing during the programs and experiments.

And I also made it to 27 weeks! Its getting a bit uncomfortable and things like bending over and picking up little ones are awkward but I have a feeling the rest of the time is going to fly by. Crossing fingers at least ♥

MIM#71 - Chevron Thanks

It's been awhile since I've played along with PTI's Make it Monday, but I really needed to use the chevron stripes set - it's been sitting on the shelf untouched for several months! This week's technique was bordered sentiments. I love that it gives the impression of a single layer, pre-printed card. Rather than a straight border, I traced the edges of a die-cut around the sentiment, then embossed with leaves from Rosie Posie.

And that's all :)

Boom! You're the Bomb: PbD003

There is a new challenge up this week on the Pink by Design blog - Red, White and Blue. All this month you can use stamps from any company and Sarah is giving away a prize every Wednesday!

I started this card with the rocket pop from Sweet Summer and ended up with an exploding background using small images from Nature Walk and one from Rockstar too. Normally I never buy holiday product (ok, except Halloween, my favorite!) since it's only good for one occasion a year, so I love that something appropriate for July 4th could be made using stamps from sets I already own.

Be sure to stop by the PBD blog to enter all your stamped creations using red, white and blue!

Hope your summer is awesome so far! Will have lots more to share next week ♥

Clearsnap + Trinity Paper Arts Blog Hop

Welcome to the Clearsnap and Trinity Paper Arts Blog Hop!! Our Design Teams have "teamed up" to share layouts, projects, and more featuring Trinity Paper Arts' paper collections and Clearsnap's distinctive inks and accessories. From sports to summer and everything in between, kick your sandals off, grab a cold lemonade and enjoy the inspiration. Hop along to each blog listed below and leave a comment.

Each comment is an entry into a drawing to win the entire Trinity Paper Arts' "Surf N Swim" Collection!

PLUS, a second winner will receive Smooch Spritz in Gingersnap, Designer Foils in Blue, and Design Adhesives!

For extra entries, post about this blog hop to Facebook, Twitter or your blog! Just leave a comment on either company blog telling us what you did and each comment will count as your extra entry. And now, let's heat up the summer!!

For my project I combined the Surf and Swim Collection from Trinity Arts with several Clearsnap products to create a two-page layout of last season' s T-Ball photos.

I loved how the more theme neutral B-sides of these papers allowed me to choose my own occasion, even though they are perfect for beach photos. For the background, I used a mask to spray Smooch Spritz in Navy Twinkle.

Also used several of the Design Adhesives (Sentiments, Banner Wishes, BBQ) with Designer Foils (Cherry, Seaport) to highlight the visual triangle.

See the cute little banner Design Adhesives? Love those and don't think I will ever get over banners - they make the perfect embellishment!

Also did a little stamping on the photo. Chalk inks are perfect for stamping on glossy surfaces. I also used them to hightlight the edges of all the papers for a bit of extra dimension. The Primary Petal Point has all the colors you need to coordinate with this paper pack.

And that's all from me today! Don't forget to leave a comment for your chance to win!

Happy Birthday Old Chap: PbD01

Sure I am a little late posting this as the current challenge ends tonight, but just wanted let you know that Pink by Design will be hosting a new weekly challenge!! Of course there will be prizes and fun badges too!

The current challenge - hosted this week by our fabulous DT member Dawn - is to use sentiments to create a background.

And here is what I came up with using a sentiment and a stash from the Mustaches stamp set. So fun and a great way to get a little extra mileage from your stamps! Also discovered I am seriously lacking in the masculine embellishment department. : / Need to fix that! Also used the Maps Background on the die-cut but it did not show up clearly with the light ink.

For the inks I used the At The Beach pigment ink palette from Colorbox and just built the whole color scheme around there - makes it much easier ;)

There is still time to link up your creations! Do it here.

Busy Bodies

Wow has it been a busy June so far. We have had so much going on and days so full that I can hardly believe today is Wednesday and now is nearly over.

Lets start with last Friday. A nearly all day dress rehearsal. Itchy costumes and one very antsy little boy made for an extra long day, but it's the only chance for the moms who have to stay backstage to see the entire show, so worth it.

Somehow we still had enough energy to take a mile long walk down to the bridge. Actually make that run. The kids ran all the way there. We stopped to take lots of pics along the way. This one is my favorite :)

Saturday and Sunday morning both were the final T-ball games of the season.

And in the evenings we had dance performances. They had one great show and lots of fun with all the primping, make-up and back stage girl time. Very cute :)

Also hit the big 6-month mark with this pregnancy! Still need to take some belly pics of that. Have been cleaning, planning and organizing like a mad woman! Hope this energy keeps up cause there is so much to do.

I've been making a bunch of stuff too but either I can't share it yet or am just to lazy to take pictures other than in Instagram - hope these will suffice ;)

These nightgowns were made from some pretty vintage pillowcases that have been in my stash for a while. Made them to look similar to the dress from this tutorial by Blooms and Bugs if you want to create something like it. I tucked instead of gathered and added fabric flowers in place of a bow.

Made some jammy pants too with skully fabric and this tutorial by Dana Made It. These were my first ever pants and wow they were way easy! I will no longer fear legged bottoms!

A customized planner for keeping track of summer days.

And a  few baby bibs using scrap fabric and this simple tutorial by SewSheSews. Skipped the quilting part and they still look super cute :)

Phew, that was a long post! Hope it counts for the whole week cause I think I'd rather spend the week creating instead of online. See you soon!

Design Adhesives

Hi there! Checking in a little late today, we've been at dance rehearsal what feels like all.day.long. And there are still two full shows to go - it is going to be a busy weekend!

Today on the Clearsnap blog, we are doing a new monthly feature called Product Spotlight to showcase some of the products Clearsnap makes other than the Colorbox inks. And there are a lot of them! This month puts Design Adhesives in the spotlight. They are really fun to use and work with glitter, foil, embossing powder, flocking, etc. so click here to learn more about them and to leave a comment to win a set of your very own.

Have a wonderful June weekend!
